David Elson
Parkour for Film & Wire Work
David is the only stunt performer to have doubled all three Spider-Men — Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire — across the franchises. Just coming off his recent work on The Odyssey, David has been an integral part of Stunt Performers Academy since its founding in 2017.
Colin Follenweider
Wire Work
With 30 years in the industry, Colin has served as stunt coordinator on high-profile projects including The Odyssey, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Skeleton Crew. A respected veteran, Colin is not only a master of wire work but has also hired many of our graduates onto major productions.
Hiro Koda
Wire Work
A two-time Emmy Award winner and seven-time nominee, Hiro Koda is one of the most respected names in stunt coordination. As a Stunt Coordinator, 2nd Unit Director, and Director, his extensive credits span major film and television productions. Hiro has also hired numerous Stunt Performers Academy graduates onto his sets, continuing to support new talent in the industry.
Luci Romberg
Parkour for Film
An former 11-time Red Bull World Champion in Freerunning, Luci Romberg is one of the most accomplished female freerunners in the world. She’s best known as Melissa McCarthy’s longtime stunt double across all her film and television projects. Luci has been an integral part of Stunt Performers Academy since its founding in 2017.
Brian Hite
Psychological Mental Strength
Brian Hite is a professional stuntman with a doctorate in psychology. He has developed a specialized mental strength program originally designed for athletes and tailored specifically for the unique demands of stunt performers. In class, Brian equips students with practical tools to manage fear, anxiety, and the intense pressures of high-risk performance.
Steve Hanneman
Stunt Acting for Film
With over 30 years of experience as a stunt actor in film, television, and live stunt shows, Steve brings a wealth of on-set knowledge to his students. He teaches Stunt Acting for Film at 1817 Film Studios in Burbank, giving participants valuable on-camera experience in auditioning and performing on shoot day. In addition to his stunt career, Steve has also hosted numerous programs on HGTV.
